Introducing our 2026 Shows!!

We are over the moon to announce that in 2026 we will bring you GREASE! and Beauty and The Beast Jr!!

This summer, the Rhyl Little Theatre will once again take on 2 hit musicals to celebrate their 5^th anniversary of named licensed productions. Their over 13’s are ready to transport you to the 60s with their production of Grease beginning May 14. This will be followed by the under 11s (supported by older cast) who will bring the magic of Disney to life with their production of Beauty and the Beast Jr. 

Since its electric Broadway and West End debut in the early 1970’s, GREASE has remained one of the world’s most popular and enduring musicals. Funny, frank and featuring the hit songs we’ve all grown to love. GREASE follows the journey of Danny and Sandy, alongside the T-Birds  and the Pink Ladies, as they navigate high school to the unforgettable rock n’ roll soundtrack that defined generations. Grease features a fantastic group of young people led by director Caitlin Armitage Conway and they can’t wait to welcome you to Rydell. 

Step into the enchanted world of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast JR, where magic, music, and heartfelt lessons come alive on the Rhyl Little Theatre stage. 

Beauty and the Beast Jr follows Belle, an intelligent and courageous young woman who dreams of adventure beyond her small provincial town. When her father, Maurice, becomes lost in the woods and imprisoned in a mysterious castle, Belle bravely offers to take his place—finding herself held captive by a fearsome Beast. Based on the original Broadway production that ran for over thirteen years and was nominated for nine Tony Awards, and the Academy Award-winning motion picture,  Disney’s Beauty and the Beast JR. features some of the most popular songs ever written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, along with new songs by Mr. Menken and Tim Rice. The show featured around 60 of our young people led by Director Katie Brewerton.  

The Little Theatre was taken on by new management in 2020 by Arlena Thornton and Danni Moore and since then have undertaken smash hit named musicals such as Legally Blonde Jr, Oliver Jr, High School Musical Jr and Frozen Jr, Footloose: Youth, Annie Jr, We Will Rock You (YAP) and Matilda Jr. 

Current theatre manager Curtis Fisher added “The children and young people have worked tremendously hard already to bring you what I’m sure to be a night to remember. Both Grease and Beauty and The Beast are both going to be in the history books at the theatre as they mark our 5^th anniversary of performing named licensed performances with our children something we will endeavour to continue. The theatre itself is proud to host such talent right on our doorstep and we hope that with the continued support of the parents, volunteers and general public alike that long may it continue to do so” 

The Rhyl Little Theatre will present Grease! From the 14-16 May 2026 and Beauty and the Beast Jr from 22 – 25 July 2026.
